Top 5 tips to avoid muscular stiffness when working from home

During lockdown it's been noticed that people of all age groups are using their smartphones or laptops or both a lot more than usual. Since the gyms and parks are closed, there is no physical activity which leads to back pain, neck stiffness and other issues.

Here are 5 tips from the expert physiotherapists at ProHealth Asia, New Delhi to help you avoid these muscular pains while working from home:

  1. Maintain a good posture while sitting or working like not too much hunching or rounded shoulders. Keep your feet supported on the ground and comfortable while sitting.
  2. Keep moving: take frequent breaks be it for drinking water or making a cup of tea all by yourself. Get up and walk at least once in 30-40 mins.
  3. Be physically active: stretches or exercises in the morning or in between your work or the simple task of doing your household chores by yourself.
  4. Good sleep: maintain a proper sleeping schedule ensuring you get enough sleep.
  5. Keep yourself indulge in activities with a positive attitude.
